See how a Canon 5DIII holds up against an axe

after filming some strippers

In the endless pursuit of knowledge, the folks at Crisis Lab compared the Video and stills performance of the old Canon 5D mark III against an, also old Nikon D800 in several usability scenarios like, Image Resolution, Rolling Shutter, Video Resolution, Low Light performance and the like.

Strangely though, the D800 is the low light king in photo mode, it's iso performance and sharpness are the best, but, it turns out that the Nikon is quite a bit worse in low light video. It's either Canon optimises their DSLRs for great video performance or they just love strippers. Regardless of your taste in strippers, you've got to admit, that these cheap strippers have got some moves.

They then go on to rip the canon in half with a heavy metal tool that looks like an axe, for some reason.

You should really watch these videos, because even though they're from 2012, when these cameras launched, a lot of pros still use them and there's still some useful information, or you could simply just watch for the entertainment.

It'll be interesting to see how their successors Canon 5D Mark IV and Nikon D810 stack up against each other today.
